New Building for Marui Suzuki’s Business Headquarters

This is a reconstruction project for the business headquarters of Marui Suzuki Corporation, a confectionery specialty wholesaler established in 1895.
The new building is composed of the distribution center on the first floor, the main office on the second floor, and a presentation space, internal communication space, and specialized offices on the third floor. The third floor consists of a presentation space, a place for communication, and specialized offices.
The building was designed to resemble a single city so that workers involved in a wide range of tasks, including planning, product development, quality control, sales, back-office teams, and the logistics center, can feel a sense of unity.
In response to a request for a view of the greenery of the park to the west, many openings were made on the park side, and a deck space was set back on the third floor to create a relaxing and soft atmosphere that is different from the active workspace atmosphere near the curtain wall on the east side of the building.
The center of the main office on the second floor has an atrium that connects to the third floor, allowing the third floor to face the outside air, drawing in light and providing gravity ventilation in the middle of the day.
